Private one-to-one Yoga - by Zoom or in person

Private classes are suitable for beginners, anyone who feels uncomfortable or unsure about joining a group class, and for more advanced students who would like help to develop their yoga practice.  I can come to your home or venue which will need to be a suitable space where you have enough room to move and stretch out.  Alternatively you may come to my home for the tuition.

Costs

A one hour weekday lesson online via Zoom costs £45.00 (£55.00 on Friday evenings and at weekends).  These costs also apply to a 1-2-1 lesson at my home. If you'd like a class at your home, please provide your postcode for a quote.

Please note that I require at least 24 hours notice of cancellation, otherwise the full fee is payable.
If you would like  a private class for more than 2 people, please contact me for a quote.

Centred on the Yoga Student

Individual Yoga tuition is tailored to your specific needs - health, flexibility, strength, experience and knowledge of yoga.

Working one to one gives you the chance to learn at your own pace, proceeding as quickly or as slowly as you wish, with tailored individual lesson plans. There is ample opportunity to ask questions and to get feedback on your progress as a yoga student. If you have any questions about what yoga poses might be good for you (and what might not be so good) do get in touch.

In Street, BA16, or your home

One hour weekday and weekend sessions available in Street, and also at your home or workplace.

I will travel to Ashcott, Baltonsborough, Burtle, Butleigh, Butleigh Wootton, Catcott, Compton Dundon, Coxley, Edington, Glastonbury, Godney, Greinton, Henton, Langport, Meare, Moorlinch, Panborough, Pedwell, Pilton, Polsham, Shapwick, Somerton, Street, Walton, Wedmore, Wells, West Pennard and Westhay. I also cover all or part of these postcodes: BA16, BA6, BS28, TA11, BA5, TA10, TA7.

What to expect

I prepare a lesson specifically for you, based on our discussions or previous lessons, and provide a summary the end.

Make sure you are wearing comfortable clothing – a T-shirt and tracksuit trousers or leggings are ideal - plus you may want an extra layer or two to put on during the final period of relaxation. Each yoga lesson will build on the previous one: postures and practices already learned can be repeated (with variations) to fully integrate your learning experience, while new postures can be introduced gradually for a more rounded, varied practice and to maintain your interest.

Examples of my private clients

A couple with busy jobs and children who found it convenient to have yoga lessons at home

A woman with scoliosis who wanted a suitable practice

An older couple who wanted to maintain and improve fitness

Women recovering from breast cancer

A young woman with a knee condition

A busy professional woman with stressful work.

Typical Class

A typical class will begin with a short relaxation incorporating a breathing practice, warm up exercises, followed by a variety of postures (asanas), and a final relaxation.

Mindfulness techniques are often taught as part of the relaxation or meditation aspect of the lesson.  I will fully explain and demonstrate all the practices, and assist and adjust your practise of the postures as necessary.

Do get in touch if you have any questions about these classes - online or face to face, or about Yoga generally, I will be pleased to help.
